The concept was brilliant: custom star and map posters that mark life’s most important places and moments. But the brand had no name, no story, and no visual system to stand out in the growing décor market. Without a strong identity, Yamakani risked looking like just another online print shop.

We built Yamakani from the ground up. The name comes from the Arabic “yamakan” (there was a place), a phrase used to begin stories (similar to “once upon a time”). By adding “-i,” it became “my place”: personal, emotional, and intimate.
We paired this storytelling foundation with a clean Scandinavian design approach: a pin-and-heart icon, a palette of timeless neutrals and vibrant accents, and modern typography. We extended the identity into packaging, graphic applications, and guidelines that made the brand ready for both online and offline growth.
